Commission a performance

Maison Cordes is a performing arts group. We bring classical instruments into the modern world through improvisation and audience participation.

Each performance brings together dozens of violinists. There is no conductor: the players organize and lead themselves, moving through the space in set formations and working through a series of improvisation techniques we developed. The sound fills the entire venue, whether a gallery, a brand event or a product launch, and guests walk through the middle of it. No two performances are the same, and no two guests hear the same thing.

One melody, played as a round. The lines overlap and fold back on themselves, in patterns that exist only in that moment.
